About Us

Berkeley Cannon's Mergers & Acquisitions professionals specialise in the financial services market and offer a diverse range of business skills together with many years of experience operating within corporate environments. We recruit our staff for their academic prowess, integrity, and honesty. They have vast industry experience servicing Wealth Managers, IFAs, Investment Banks, Solicitors, and Accountancy firms.

Berkeley Cannon is a trusted business intermediary. As a company, we have been responsible for many of the financial services M&A deals that have taken place over recent years, particularly in the IFA sector.

The deals we write range from modest to very large. Our usual deal valuation range is from £250,000 to £50 Million, although we do work on deals up to £100 Million. Our most significant deal is one of the largest in our sector over the past ten years. We are open to assisting vendors at all size levels, and we are only size and scale focused when working under specific buyer mandates. We have solutions for everyone. We have helped shareholders with all aspects of their deal, from softer and fundamental elements to more technical areas, such as accounting, tax planning, and growth strategy. What sets us apart, bar our above average results for our vendors and buyers, is our in-depth buyer and seller relationships, deal management experience and the consistent service we provide.

We were founded on the belief that during these challenging times business owners, especially within the financial services sector, deserve the highest level of professional support, advice, and expertise, as they explore one of the most important decisions of their business lives: how to enhance and capture the value of their business.

We are trusted by an established client base of buyers and sellers, past and present. We are a business who is dependable. Honesty, customer service, and a fully personalised approach are the cornerstones of our business. We are committed to building effective and mutually beneficial relationships with everyone we have the honor of helping.

As with many services, the most valuable benefit a seller can obtain from a business intermediary is the peace of mind that comes from relying on the well-founded judgement of an experienced advisor.

Making decisions based on legitimate and factually correct information is fundamental to your absolute success.

My main focus is helping buyers and sellers of businesses realise their goals:

I receive as much satisfaction from helping people retire or change company direction as I do in helping my conscientious and friendly buyers grow exponentially.

I work safe in the knowledge that the people we work with know how important we hold them.

“Today’s buyer may be our seller tomorrow, and Today’s seller may be our buyer tomorrow”
